WHY THIS CALENDAR
Lately, it’s been hard not to feel powerless. Every day, the headlines bring more division, more noise, and more confusion about what can be done.
How can we speak up and take action in a tangible way?
As the United States approaches the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, I realized this milestone could be more than a moment to reflect — it could be a moment to act. So I set out to create something tangible, hopeful, and doable: a way to channel concern into action.
That’s how The People’s Calendar was born.
Each prompt features a clear, achievable objective — from contacting representatives, to supporting local businesses, to simple acts of care for yourself and your neighbors.
Together, these actions build a rhythm for engagement, one week at a time.
It’s not about doing everything. It’s about doing something — consistently.
Each prompt is very achievable and is balanced throughout the month to not be overwhelming.
The design itself honors the American flag — bold, simple, and deeply symbolic.
Each month features custom lettering inspired by its spirit and season.
